Introducing Nebula!

We are excited to launch Nebula, a web-based application that allows you to conduct a choir composed of diverse voices from Philadelphia using your own voice. You can explore and mix the voices by singing, talking, and vocalizing into the microphone on your computer. The more varied and energetic your voice is, the more samples you activate, and the more sustained your voice, the more you can hone in on individual sounds. The sounds have been submitted by people in Philadelphia using the Nebula upload functionality, our mobile app (see below) or have been collected by our team.

Nebula was conceived and designed by Rébecca Kleinberger based on a platform provided by Akito van Troyer, in collaboration with Tod Machover at the MIT Media Lab.
